What Happens in a Reiki Session:
The person receiving Reiki from a practitioner remains clothed. They can sit in a chair or lie on a table while the practitioner lightly places her or his hands in various positions on or near the body. The client may become relaxed or peaceful during a session.
My Reiki sessions may be an hour or half an hour depending on a client’s needs. I can provide a Reiki session in my office, at a person’s home or another appropriate place, such as a hospital. I have given Reiki treatments for relief of pain, anxiety, joint problems and to people who recently had received chemotherapy. There are no side affects of Reiki. It is not meant to replace medical treatments or other ongoing therapies, but can complement them. Reiki is based on the idea of a life source energy field that permeates the human body.
